Twelfth Knight’s Bride by E. Elizabeth Watson
Twelfth Knight’s Bride by E. Elizabeth Watson
Lady Aileana Grant just wants to help her starving clan at Christmastide. So she pilfers some vegetables from the bastard Laird James MacDonald–the Devil, they call him. When the Devil shows up and demands marriage as recompense for the thievery, Aileana can’t believe it when her brother agrees. Even if she’s able to negotiate a severance on Twelfth Night, that’s still two weeks to put up with the laird in enemy territory. She’s counting down the days, even if James isn’t quite the disgusting cretin she’d imagined.
James needs to marry an enemy bride in order to inherit his fortune. Cursed restrictions. He’d been unable to look away from Aileana’s untamed beauty ever since she squared off with him. He might as well handfast with the infernal lass. He’d get his money and perhaps some peace among the clans. He has a fortnight to win the heart of the lady with the voice of an angel despite her sharp tongue.
Twelfth Night is merry and bright as Aileana and James realize a true connection between them. But when Aileana discovers the reason the Devil forced her into marriage, how can she ever believe he truly wants her?

The Mistletoe Trap by Cindi Madsen
The Mistletoe Trap by Cindi Madsen
From the moment Julie sees her best friend, Gavin, in the airport, it’s like no time at all has gone by instead of months and months. No matter how long they’ve been apart, their relationship has always been steady, comfortable, and decidedly just friends. Even though their meddling parents have hung what seems like unlimited amounts of mistletoe everywhere she goes this holiday season, Julie knows some things will never change.
Gavin is well-aware his family’s wanted him and Julie to get together since forever, even though he’s been friend-zoned since they could talk—and he’s been happy to play that role. After all, as the new starting quarterback for the San Antonio Mustangs, he’s got enough on his plate without adding romance to the mix.
But between playing elves in the holiday bazaar to nights spent one-on-one watching rom-coms or soaking in their town’s hot springs, suddenly the “reverse parent trap” they’ve fallen into is actually starting to work. But this could be one scheme where letting themselves get trapped might be way too dangerous.

About A Most Unusual Friday Knight by Alan Frost
The book will be available for USD 0.99 on Monday, November 8.
Blurb:
History is now in the hands of two orphans, a border collie, and a depressed inventor.
For as long as Johnny and Ella have known him, Shawn has been that odd but sad man who lives in the shed at the orphanage run by his iron-fisted sister. Every day, the kids watch from the windows as he walks the dog, fixes things, and takes his sister’s belittling with only a sigh.
Everything changes the night Johnny and Ella decide to investigate lights flashing from the shed. The night they discover Shawn’s time machine, which sends them all to medieval England – to a time of mighty castles, jousting tournaments, and wild animals.
But when they witness the injustice of a greedy lord and his champion knight, a simple jump to the past turns into a seemingly impossible quest to save the lives of innocent villagers – as well as their own. All complicated by Shawn’s odd behavior and terrible manners, leaving it up to Johnny and Ella to teach him how to behave properly.
With a combination of modern technology, ingenuity, and trickery, can two orphans, a dog, and a sad inventor change the course of history?

Alan Frost is an author of middle grade and young adult sci-fi and fantasy. After nearly 15 years working as a translator, Alan decided to take the plunge and start publishing his own material. His main passion is subjects that extend the boundaries of what we think possible, in particular modern fantasy and time travel.
Alan’s debut title, “A Most Unusual Friday Knight”, is a middle grade (ages 8-12) time travel story and is due to be released on November 1, 2021. It is the first in the “Shawn From the Shed” series. In early 2022, Alan will launch his YA modern fantasy series, “The Dream Gate”, with the first novel “The Slayer, the Seer, and the Dream Stealer”.
Even though his family is from Washington DC, Alan resides in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he spends as much of his spare time as possible enjoying nature, playing sports and annoying his friends with bad jokes and (hopefully good) story ideas.
Jade and Tar
About Jade and Tar
One girl. Two identities. How long can she keep her two worlds apart?
Living on a tropical island and set to land a role that fulfils her desire to travel the seas, Calitha Araxie’s life seems perfect. She daydreams through the Academy’s lessons, longing for a chance to escape.
When nightfall comes, she uses her hidden power to transform her appearance and sneaks away to meet her book-loving best friend, Dagwood. With him, there’s no need to act impeccably…except he doesn’t know the truth about her.
Cali struggles to keep up the act and when her twin sister is assaulted and nearly dies, she reels from the fact her deception is to blame and not all in the Academy is what it seems.
As graduation nears, her family’s loyal servant is accused of theft and a fellow classmate is brutally attacked. Cali takes solace in her visits to Dagwood, only to find his own plans to leave are escalating–and he longs for her to join him.
When Cali’s lies begin to close in on her, the horrors behind the attacks are unveiled, and Cali must devise a way to reveal the truth.
But little does she know the story behind her own heritage and how far her powers will take her…
Jade and Tar is a young adult fantasy tale perfect for fans who’d like to read a mash-up of authors like Leigh Bardugo and Brandon Sanderson. If you enjoy mystery, action, strong family ties and characters who must learn to deal with what life throws at them, then give Jade and Tar a try. It has a very slow burn romance as a sub-plot and instead focusses on solid friendships, the importance of heritage and escapism.
