Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a TV and Movie reviewer.
I’ll write lengthy posts, and those with words fewer.
I have published three books to date,
Three anthologies, for such is my fate.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Movie Reviews, TV Reviews, Course Reviews…The Best of ArticlesInRhyme 2019

This book is an anthology comprised
Of reviews from my website ArticlesInRhyme.
I chose the best from every month,
Or rather, those I thought were sublime.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When I first designed my website,
I chose to write everything, not in prose,
But in poetry of differing styles,
So I’d stand out in the way that I chose.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I was an avid reader as a lad,
Reading Jules Verne, John Jakes, James Clavell…
…Mark Twain, and others, classic and modern,
And pulp fiction writers as well.

What are you working on now?
I have a few more books in mind,
Some of which need to be written.
One of them is Rambo-themed.
It’s a topic of which I’m smitten.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My current method, I’ll admit,
Is to locate websites and submit,
And in hopes that my brand name becomes a bit fitter,
I’ll even use Facebook, and also Twitter.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Forget the money at first, and write,
Even if you don’t make a dime.
Writing is fun. It channels the soul,
And makes for an interesting time.

The thing is to start,
Commence! Begin!
Everything else is for naught.
Who will be able to read what you write
If none are the words you have got?

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Start.

What are you reading now?
Various blogs.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I’ll continue for now on this path
To see what next is to happen.
I’ll keep up with my website and occasional eBooks,
And, when I’m tired, I’ll try nappin’.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Big, thick history books that would take a long time to read.

Michael Robbins

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve been a lifelong writer and artist. In fact I may have paid more attention to my scribblings in school than to my actual schoolwork. I’ve been contributing stories to Muddy Puddle Press for many years, most recently to their One-Sentence Stories series. This is my fourth book.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Fathers and Daughters follows on from the first book in this series, Butterfly and Serpent. I’d left my protagonists in an untenable situation last time up and I felt it was time for my character Jamai to step up and grow towards the strong person she needs to be.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’ll write anywhere, on anything. I keep scrap paper in my back pocket to scribble new ideas down and I’ll do that in the bathroom, at work, wherever. You have to save your ideas or they’ll just scatter to the wind.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Frank Herbert, Robert E. Howard and Kurt Vonnegut.

What are you working on now?
I’m halfway through the third and final book in the Butterfly and Serpent series, called Sanity’s Edge.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up. Socialize with other writers, feed off your creativity. There are plenty of writers’ groups on Facebook and social media; join up and absorb their advice.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
This was something I heard from a children’s book author at a writer’s group once: “Writing is like rolling a page into a typewriter and staring at it until blood drips on the page.” Never forgot this.

What are you reading now?
Kurt Vonnegut’s Hocus Pocus and Anonymous’s Primary Colors

What’s next for you as a writer?
I have a project going on my DeviantArt page, and there’s a book I’ve been dying to get to for 20 years, once I finish Sanity’s Edge.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Douglas Adams-The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Robert E. Howard-King Kull
The Playboy Interviews with John Lennon
HG Welles-The Time Traveler

Natalie Jenkins

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Natalie and I’m an author from Kentucky. I grew up on a farm in the southeastern part of the state, but have left the farming days behind. I have currently written two books, one of which will be released by November 2020.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is “After The Storm.” It’s an autobiographical/romance novel about how I found love again after the death of my fiancé. A lot of inspiration came from reading other romance novels. I like a good love story!

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Something unusual I do is that I write chapters first and then go back through and edit them. I can’t focus on one thing too much!

What are you working on now?
I’m working on several projects right now! Currently, I am working on publishing my second book “After The Storm” but I am also writing a third book that’s different than my usual style of writing.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Build a following! I made this mistake with my first book “Fourteen Day Fiancé.” Trust me, having an audience before had is the BEST thing you could ever do for yourself.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I’ve thought a lot about writing scripts and screenplays. That’s what’s next for me as a writer. I am going to write my first screenplay.
