Today is National Dress Up Your Pet Day. While I am not going to put our rescue dog Tootsie in a dress I realize that we have had many new awesome authors come on board lately that don’t know about how we support animal rescues. I kind of keep it low key but I really shouldn’t since many of you can also spread the word.

There are 2 shelters that we support. A long time ago I read about a no kill shelter in Chicago and started supporting them. Paws Chicago does all kinds of fun events and does a great job. They are a role model for what every shelter should be.

Then we were in Tucson and saw first hand how the Hope Animal Shelter did things. They were hit with a bad flood that ruined their building but they are bouncing back. They put out a call for washing machines right after the flood so I brought them one. The pics are somewhere on the site. I should build out a page about our shelter efforts. I will put that on my to-do list since authors can help spread the word.
