Awesome Author - Roshan Singh

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am from India. I have been writing for almost three years and I have written 6 books so far. Looking forward to write more. I belong to a middle class family and the fun fact is that I am still studying ☺. I am in class 9.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My most recent book is “Perfect”. I published it one month ago. It is a story about a boy and a girl, they fell in love and then some twist and turns comes and the story goes on. It all was a dream. I had a dream of this story.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No

What authors, or books have influenced you?
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coehlo. That book inspired me to write my own.

What are you working on now?
My new book which is based on arrange marriage. A girl marries a rich man rather than his love due to family pressure.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I think social media works the best. Run a few ad campaigns and bingo.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
New authors are filled with questions, particularly when it comes to promoting their books. “When should I begin the process of marketing and publicizing my book?” is a question I am asked all the time, to which I typically respond with, “The very moment you have the idea for the book.” And that’s true. Even while you’re writing the book, there is much you can do to plan and prepare for when you will actually be out publicizing it. Far too many people miss fantastic opportunities because they simply had no idea, and didn’t even know to ask. And if that’s not enough, you can actually shoot yourself in the foot if you include or exclude something necessary for your strategy. For example, one author wanted to sell her financial planning book through some of the big financial institutions, but because of her strong stance on only working with fiduciaries, they wouldn’t touch her book. It would have been very helpful for her to know that going in so that she could have planned accordingly.

That said, even if you didn’t get this advice while writing your book, there is still a great deal you can do to promote it, including building relationships, planning strategies, positioning, and creating compelling hooks and sound bites, all on the way to becoming a media darling.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“I have advice for people who want to write. I don’t care whether they’re 5 or 500. There are three things that are important: First, if you want to write, you need to keep an honest, unpublishable journal that nobody reads, nobody but you. Where you just put down what you think about life, what you think about things, what you think is fair and what you think is unfair. And second, you need to read. You can’t be a writer if you’re not a reader. It’s the great writers who teach us how to write. The third thing is to write. Just write a little bit every day. Even if it’s for only half an hour — write, write, write.” ― Madeleine L’Engle

What are you reading now?
Currently I am reading “The Pilgrimage” by Paulo Coehlo

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Alchemist
A brief history of time
The Pilgrimage
And my own book “My Vision”

Awesome Author - Laolu Otiko

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m your average 26 year old writer who loves to live inside his head for most of the time. I’m from Nigeria. I’m the last of 9 kids, so, either important or… just another one. I’m passionate about story telling and wild imaginations. Big lover of anything thrilling. I like to think I’m adventurous but I feel those days may be gone for me. Not quite religious but believe in forces beyond scientific knowledge (Anatomy of the universe is too precise). Oh and I’ve written quite a lot but only just published one book. So, Quebec here I come.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is titled “10 Poems in a Short: Lonely Birds”. It is the first in a limited series that I’m very excited about. It was inspired by many random things to be honest, most of which came while I was travelling round my country; Nigeria, in 2017.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t think my writing habit is unusual. It’s quite technical really. What I do when I’m in writing mode is to create a schedule and planner for a period between 25-60 days. I set aside a 2-hour window for everyday, then I go on different social media. Whatever word, or image, or video I come across; first, sets the tone for what I’m going to write within the 2 hour frame of that day. When I’ve expended the period set, I pick the best writings and create a story around them. It’s more technical than artistic, I think.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
My influences come from various authors, styles and techniques, so it will be hard to pick. I’m influenced stylistically by William Shakespeare, The book “Sphinx” by Robin Cook, was one of my early influences. “Flipped” by Wendelin Van Draanen is a huge influence too, stylistically. Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Athol Fugard (especially for “Tsotsi”), to name a few.

What are you working on now?
I’m finishing up on the second part of “10 Poems in a Short”, title will be published soon. Also working on the final chapter of a Sci-Fi short story. It’s quite exciting too!

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Best method? Spread your words as far and wide as possible. I believe everyone has a beautiful story to share, so share yours at every given opportunity.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Well, I’m relatively a new author myself. So if I were to give myself some advice, it would go like “the first few chapters are probably crap, so, keep writing till it makes sense. It will take time.”

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“If you ever plan on having kids, the best gift you can give them is a reputable surname, after a huge trust fund.” -Name redacted-

What are you reading now?
Well, I just bought a MIDI Keyboard so I’m definitely reading the manual. Other than that, nothing.

What’s next for you as a writer?
For now, reaching a bigger audience is the goal. If a thousand people get to read my book, that’ll be fantastic!

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Twelfth Night, Purple Hibiscus, 10 Poems in a Short (Its that good), a random book I’ve never heard of.

Awesome Author - O’sharra Caine

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Georgia State University Student that has always held a love for reading and writing.

With inspirations from various genres of literature, I plan to create depth in my books that will reach almost any reader on a personal level.

Aside from novels, I love to read and, write poetry. I release authentic poetry on my social media accounts daily on everyday life subjects ; ranging from coming of age, love, hope, success, and all things in between.

I have written two books so far but, I currently have one published.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my newly published book is We See What We Want. It was inspired by a security company that I worked for that was completely unorganized. I worked the 3rd shift over night for the company and, one night while at work my imagination ran rampant . Add to the fact that there were always homeless people near the building and that is how We See What We Want was conceived.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write better when it rains. That may be common but, the rain is so soothing and relaxing It forces me to stay home and write.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love John Grisham, Mary Higgins Clark, as well as Stephen King, I loved R.L Stine growing up. I also love Wahidah Clark, Zane, and a lot of Urban authors. That is what I mean by I am well read in all genres so I plan to mix all of them in my writing to keep things interesting.

What are you working on now?
I am working on the follow up to We See What We Want.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote on social media accounts as a new author I am still learning about promoting platforms.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. Write. Write. If you love doing it, just do it. Worry about the particulars later because sometime we get so caught up in the particulars it stifles us. Thinking about marketing, what if nobody likes it? what if it doesn’t sell? and all the extras will make you not want to write and, doubt your abilities but, whether it sells ten copies or millions you wont know if you don’t take a chance on yourself.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Just Keep Swimming” Dory is so very wise.

What are you reading now?
A lot of books on Marketing mostly.

What’s next for you as a writer?
A book of poetry definitely. I love poetry.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Twilight, Every Thug Needs A lady, One With You

Awesome Author - Ryan Gullett

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve spent most of my life in Texas, growing up spending a lot of time reading and creating new fantastic worlds. I’m a proud alumnus of Stephen F. Austin State University and I currently teach United States history at a community college in Houston, Texas.
I’ve written and published two books so far: the Heir Comes Forth and the Lord of Darkness Returns.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Lord of Darkness Returns is the latest book that I’ve published and is a sequel to the Heir Comes Forth in the Chronicles of Alethia series. After the success of the first book, I really wanted to try my hand at a series. As such, the Lord of Darkness Returns is merely the second book in what I hope to be a long series.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I prefer to write my novels on legal yellow pads before transferring the text to digital. Its old school, but it also forces me edit the first draft as I type.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been significantly influenced by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, though my writing style hints at the character-centric chapters found in more modern writers.

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the third book in the Chronicles of Alethia series.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Word of mouth, whether verbal or digital, seems to sell the most books.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t ever give up. If you have a story, share it.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Find something you love and discover a way to make money at it. If you succeed, you’ll never work a day in your life.

What are you reading now?
I’ve currently got a nightstand stacked with books.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully publishing book three of the Chronicles of Alethia in a year or so.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
A Bible and The Lord of the Rings.

Awesome Author - Joseph Lewis

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have been in education for forty-one years and counting as a teacher, coach, counselor and now as an administrator. I use my psychology and counseling background and my knowledge and fondness for kids in crafting the characters and dialogue. I have taken creative writing and screen writing courses at UCLA and USC.

So far, I have six books published thus far: Taking Lives (August 2014) the prequel to the Lives Trilogy; Stolen Lives (November 2014) Book One of the Lives Trilogy; Shattered Lives (March 2015) Book Two of the Trilogy; and Splintered Lives (November 2015) Book Three of the Trilogy. My fifth novel, Caught in a Web debuted April 2018 from Black Rose Writing, and won a PenCraft Literary Award for Fiction, and was named Best Crime Thriller by Best Thrillers. My latest, Spiral Into Darkness came out in January 2019, also from Black Rose Writing.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Lewis has been happily married for twenty-six years and counting to his wife, Kim. Together they have three wonderful children: Wil (deceased July 2014), Hannah, and Emily, and they now reside in Virginia.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Spiral Into Darkness came from my background in psychology and counseling. I played with the idea of nature vs nurture. Specifically, I ask the question: is a serial killer born or made? There are several subplots that ask the same question.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have two writing habits that seem to work for me. First, I am a pantser. Meaning, I don’t chart out or outline my books. They happen as I sit down to write. Often times, I have a vague idea of what I want to accomplish when I write, but there are times when as I begin to write, an interesting idea takes hold and I run with it. The second habit is that I don’t and can’t write in isolation. There are some writers who prefer to be alone in a quiet room to write. I am the opposite. I sit in the family room with my laptop. The TV is on, the dogs are hovering nearby, and my wife and daughter are in the room talking, reading or watching TV.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
One reviewer wrote, “If you like James Patterson, you’ll love Joseph Lewis.” This is both humbling and inspiring. So, yes, James Patterson has inspired me, as have John Sandford, David Baldacci, and Michael Connelly. I’ve learned from each of them. Lately, I’ve been reading C.J. Box. I like his use of setting and description.

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a follow up to Spiral Into Darkness, titled Betrayed. It features five characters from my previous books, and the title tells you all you need to know about the plot. The setting is in Navajo Country in Northeast Arizona, which is one of my character’s former home. George is a full-blooded Navajo boy of fifteen.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Facebook, Twitter, and rely on several groups/companies to help with promotion. I have found Book Blog Tours to be quite helpful.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep at it! Don’t stop and don’t quit. Stephen King tells a story that he used to keep his rejections on a nail above the desk where he wrote. The number of rejections grew to the point where he used a spike. Personally, I think I could wallpaper a small room in my house with rejections. J.K. Rowling received over 1,500 one star reviews for Harry Potter. So my point is, rejection happens. There will be people who will love your work, while others will pan it. It happens. Write anyway!

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
A writer needs to read. To me, reading is to writing as weight lifting is to athletics. You cannot write if you don’t have the tools, and reading gives you the tools to write.

What are you reading now?
C.J. Box’s book, The Disappeared. It takes place in Wyoming. I taught and coached in Wyoming once upon a time and it is fun to think to yourself, “Yeah, I know where that is!”

What’s next for you as a writer?
Lately, I’ve picked up a number of speaking engagements, and I enjoy speaking about writing and my work. I see myself doing more of that. I enjoy book signings and festivals where I meet people and talk about writing and my books. Mostly, I will keep writing.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Any James Patterson book featuring Alex Cross; any Michael Connelly book featuring Harry Bosch; Lord of the Flies; and Peter Straub’s Ghost Story.

Awesome Author - W.L. Wright

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I just released my fourth novel and I will be starting my next novel after I finish moving across the country which will be happening in a few days from now. I spent some time submitting to the 1% literary world and got one science fiction short story published called Lightening the Way. The end of January 2019 I became an indie author and am now forever indie. I love writing and do that more than anything else I also love reading, animals and traveling.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Iolon Star is the name of my latest and the inspirations of it came from within rather than from the outside. I of course wanted something new rather than a rehash of ideas just like the novel is.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My most unusual habit is probably how much I write. Even when I take a break from writing I am still writing. Because of my upcoming move across the country I didn’t want to start my next novel until that hoopla is over. But I still wrote a short story nonetheless and posted it where I post all my short stories for free on Booksie.com

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have read so many books that I have to give credit to all the books I have read. Through that reading experience I became a writer.

What are you working on now?
I am not working on a novel right now because as said, I am moving across the country and won’t begin that until that’s over in couple of weeks.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Promotion for me comes from several websites including this one and Reddit, Facebook, Twitter and several forum boards that I participate in. I am true indie and like the artists of old I don’t have a large budget. But I have grown my readership substantially through all the sites including Booksie where I post my short stories that anyone can read for free.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t believe that if your book is not an overnight success it won’t ever succeed. Like most things that are a success it all takes time and effort. Most of those overnight success stories have a backstory of being at it for a long time. Keep at it and readers will find your work and if they like it your readership will grow and you will make it.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t let others define you, define yourself.

What are you reading now?
Nothing for the moment because I am busy staying at promotions and packing so I am spending my nights just binging Netflix for now.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I am planning starting my next novel soon and I am considering starting a podcast and/or possible Youtube channel where I dress up in costumes or create videos for my short stories.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, The Shining and The Wizard of Oz.

Awesome Author - Andrei Zinkevich

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m the founder of Getleado where we help B2B Service-Based and Tech companies to grow sales pipeline and scale revenue with the Full Funnel System B2B Marketing.

I live and breathe B2B marketing since 2007.

In 2007 I had started marketing career as a sales rep at Kimberly Clark, then switched to trade marketing and worked as CMO at German consulting company.

In 2013 I started to work as a B2B marketing consultant and founded Ad.Wize – B2B Inbound Marketing agency, which works with clients from the CIS markets.

Starting from 2013 I have helped to implement full-funnel marketing and scale revenue for companies from different industries as B2B SaaS, system integration, IT outsourcing, hygiene manufacturing, gas fire extinguishing modules manufacturing, cosmetics, etc.

In 2017 I founded Getleado and B2B Marketers&Founders community to help B2B companies from the whole world implement and leverage full funnel system B2B marketing.

Up today I wrote two books: B2B Growth Deconstructed and LinkedIn Content Marketing.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book “LinkedIn content marketing” is about generating high-quality B2B leads on LinkedIn without cold messaging and ads.

From my experience, many B2B companies are spending thousands of dollars per year on people, automation software and paid promotion on LinkedIn without a clear idea of the ROI they’re getting from their LinkedIn marketing efforts.

Their challenges typically include:

+ publishing content that attracts the wrong audience or doesn’t generate traffic,
+ sending mass invitation requests and then spam people asking for a call,
+ sending InMail messages trying to generate meetings,
+ running LinkedIn ads with a brutal cost per click and zero results.

I hate the pushy sales approach so one year ago I started to implement inbound marketing on LinkedIn. When I created a steady flow of inbound leads for Getleado, I started to implement the same framework for my clients.

In the book, with my co-author Ricardo Ghekiere, we share the exact same steps you need to follow to generate high-quality leads from LinkedIn through inbound marketing in a systematic and proven way.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. I have a “writing framework”. I switch off my phone and social media and just write.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
80/20 in Sales and Marketing by Perry Marshall. This book contains the most evergreen and crucial advice on how to run your own small business, and focus on what is really important in business, marketing, sales, and personal life.

What are you working on now?
I’m working on launching the paperback version of LinkedIn content marketing book and, then, plan to start writing the Full-Funnel B2B Marketing book.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m in the marketing industry, so the best channels for me are Product Hunt, LinkedIn, and Facebook communities. Product Hunt generated around 1000 customers on the launch day,

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Focus on your writing instead of polishing and editing the content. The first version of the book won’t be a masterpiece but the more you’ll practice, the better it would be.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My football coach once told:

“You can lose this game. Even FC Barcelona loses. But you must try your best so even if you lose, you’ll look like winners.

We lose only when we mentally agreed to lose”.

What are you reading now?
How to get meeting with anybody by Stu Heinecke

What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to write a book about full-funnel B2B marketing.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Here is my personal list.

1. Biography of Andre Agassi. Andre’s story resonates with my own, so this is the best ever motivational book I’ve ever read.

2. Agile results or Getting things done. The best books to organize yourself and leverage your time successfully.

3. 80/20 in sales and marketing by Peery Marshall. One of the best business books for entrepreneurs.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
This is my first book, and it has been a lifelong dream. I am a wife, aunt, daughter, sister, and a teacher.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Shackles are Broken, You are Free. This book was brought about by my childhood and teen years filled with abuse. I was sexually and religiously abused, and this led to feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, anger, hatred, and thoughts of ending it all. I want to be able to finally stand up and say, I Won.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I can’t say unusual, but I am constantly thinking of things to write about. I can write in the bed, in the car, or riding my ATV in the woods.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Bible has been my greatest influence in writing this book. It helped me to finally see the lies I had been told. I like Jentezen Franklin and the books he has written too.

What are you working on now?
I have just finished this journey, but am already working on a new project. I am working on a series of Children’s books. The series will cover a young boy taking trips back in time to the Bible days to encounter Biblical characters.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am new to this, but have done much research. My kindle version is on Amazon, Nook, and eBooks. I have promoted it on my Facebook page, and plan to do more.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up on your dream.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Let it go and try to move on. Things can make you bitter or better.

Awesome Author - Stanley Akudinobi

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Actually this is my first book. I’m an intercessor member in my church located in Lagos, Nigeria. The intercessory department in my church takes delight in interceding for the church, the country, the continent and the rest of the world.

My favourite Bible quotations are:

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”( Romans 10:13 ).

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6).

“And it shall to come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and Jerusalem shall be deliverance.” (Joel 2:32).

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11).

You can reach me through:

Email: prayertherapyandcounselling@gmail.com

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is titled: “Prayer Therapy and Counselling”. I have always wanted an opportunity for the world to benefit from the grace which I received in Christ Jesus. Medically speaking, there is a major gap existing between divine and therapeutic interventions.

Some are yet to experience the deliverance power available at the very mention of the name Jesus Christ, while some have gone as a result of their inability to afford quality and expensive medical care especially those in the developing economies.

To this end, I took it as a burden to intercede for those who are terminally ill so that they’ll live and enjoy the salvation of the Almighty God.

It’s my heart desire to see this book translated virtually in all the languages on earth. This will enable everyone to benefit from the deliverance power available in the name of Jesus Christ.

I wrote this book primarily to fulfill the following parts of the scripture:

• “EXHORT, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men. For kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1Timothy 2:1-5).

• “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:15).

• “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (Job 42:10).

If the whole world will come to the knowledge of the truth and submit entirely to the word of God, the treatments of sicknesses and diseases will experience a paradigm shift as heaven will always intervene in every given situation.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Pastor Lazarus Muoka
Dr. Daniel Olukoya

What are you working on now?
I’m writing my second book titled “Cancer Therapy”

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Presently I have not approved any method as being the best but I like to promote my book through websites specialized in promoting books to a larger audience.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice for new authors is that before publishing their books, they should always ensure that they have in place a marketing system that’ll get their books in front of their readers as soon as their books are being published.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is that “With God All Things Are Possible”

What are you reading now?

What’s next for you as a writer?
My next thing as a writer is to fully devote myself to praying for those that are sick all over the world, those in one trouble or the other, preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to every creature using the gifts God Almighty has deposited in me.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
1. Holy Bible
2. My Hymn Book

Awesome Author - Warren Edwin Davidson

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Warren Edwin Davidson has written one book, Drug Free Natural Health Care. He was an over-the-phone interpreter for doctors, nurses, dietitians and nutritionists. He discovered that, as a nation, we are in 43rd place for longevity rate among the nations according to the CIA World Factbook. He also learned that the third cause of death in the United States is Doctors and the prescription drugs that they give their patients according to the Journal of the American Medical Association. He came to believe that all those statistics are related and that Americans should be informed that there is a better way than to grow older, get sick, go to medical doctors, get introduced to unnatural drugging and then die younger than we should and fatter, sicker and in debt to the health care industry and Big Pharma. Mr. Davidson is 80 years of age in 2019 and takes no drugs at all and because of his diet and lifestyle, rarely goes to doctors. He just doesn’t get sick very often. If he goes to a doctor it is to a natural doctor that does not attempt to use unnatural drugs to heal but rather uses change of lifestyle, diet, and/or supplements to heal. This is the drug free natural health care system.

Awesome Author - Salina B Baker

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a multiple-award-winning author and avid student of Colonial America and the American Revolution. My lifelong passion for history and all things supernatural led me to write historical fantasy. Reading, extensive traveling and graveyard prowling with my husband keep that passion alive. I’ve gone on many journeys to the places I write about to experience the ambience of their history. I’m a native Floridian who lives in Austin, Texas.

I’ve written four novels and a novella.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Angels and Patriots: Book Two, the second in my eight-time, award-winning series. It was inspired by the second year of the American Revolutionary War, 1776, when the Continental Army begins to suffer great hardships and losses. They often turn to Providence for succor and, for those who believe, they find it among their ranks in the form of angels, as they did in the first book in the series.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write on my office walls—inspirational messages, historic timelines, people and places. It’s comforting and helpful to look up and see reminders and guidance all around me.

One of those inspirational messages is from a song by the rock band Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here. “So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell.” It’s very appropriate for what I’m writing.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
J.R.R Tolkien, Terry Brooks, Edgar Alan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, George R.R. Martin, Margaret Mitchell, Harper Lee, Shirley Jackson, and non-fiction authors like historians Nathaniel Philbrick, David McCullough and Patrick K. O’Donnell.

I’ve been heavily influenced by books on historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Marie Antoinette, Napoleon Bonaparte, Catherine the Great, Henry VIII, and Robert the Bruce.

What are you working on now?
Angels and Patriots: Book Three, the third novel in my series. The American Revolution bleeds into the third year, 1777, when a plethora of brave new challenges ignite, exacerbating both the American and British armies’ old obstacles of starvation, nakedness, disease, and faith.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I love offering free or deeply discounted eBook copies of the first book in my Angels & Patriots series, as well as a standalone novel I wrote, The Shipbuilder. They both give readers a good taste of the historical, fantasy, and spiritual elements I love to write about. I promote free downloads and discounted eBooks on a myriad of site like Kindle Nation Daily, Fussy Librarian, and of course, Awesome Gang!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be patient. Write what you want to read. Don’t let doubt stifle your work (and it will try). Hire a great editor (or three—developmental, copy, and proofreader) and a fantastic cover designer.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma…Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.” – Steve Jobs

What are you reading now?
I’m reading a biography, Henry Knox, Visionary General of the American Revolution by Mark Puls. Knox is an important character in my novel Angels and Patriots: Book Two and will continue to be so throughout the series.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I intend on writing book four in my Angels and Patriots series, but I may take some time away to write something else in the historical fiction/fantasy genre. I would love to write a novel about someone like Baroness Frederika Charlotte Riedesel, who was the wife of Major-General Friedrich Riedesel, commander of German troops from the duchy of Brunswick hired by the British to fight the rebellious American colonies. She is considered a “witness to war.” Frederika, with her three young daughters, spent over a year traveling to America so she could be on the front lines with her husband.

This endeavor would probably require access to primary sources, which would be time consuming and a challenge to obtain. From my own advice: be patient.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
“Dr. Joseph Warren, The Boston Tea Party, Bunker Hill, and the Birth of American Liberty” by Dr. Sam Forman. (Joseph Warren is my hero)

“Gone With The Wind” by Margaret Mitchell

“The Haunting of Hill House” by Shirley Jackson

“Angels and Patriots: Book One” by Salina B Baker (yes, I love it that much!)

Awesome Author - RKC Puthran

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am RKC Puthran, author of LOVECARNATION – An Epic TRILOGY Series .

I live in Dublin, Ireland along with my wife and my 7 year old daughter.

I was born and brought up in India. As a child, I was a voracious reader and would read just about anything that I could lay my hands on. I started writing short stories when I was in college though never submitted any of them for publishing.

Post graduation, I wanted to become a full time writer but writing jobs in those days were not just difficult to get but were also not very well paid. I had to earn for myself and my family and managed to get a full time permanent job in a company in the banking and finance sector as a junior officer. Through sheer dedication and hard work, I rose through the ranks over the years and managed to move over to London in the summer of 2008. However, Ireland, the land of writers, was calling me and within just 6 months, I was in Dublin, Ireland, havng landed myself a full time job in a bank. Since then I been living here and it is now well over 10 years.

My intense passion for writing never left me and I kept writing articles which were published in the newspapers. I also co-authored 2 non-fiction books in the last few years but did not credit himself on the cover as I wanted my name to be on the cover of a novel first.

‘LOVECARNATION – THE PROMISE’ is my debut novel and the first book in the LOVECARNATION Trilogy.

It is set for WORLDWIDE release on the 19th of May this year.

The book is currently available for pre-orders. You can get your copy here – https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QLYY7XY/

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
LOVECARNATION – An Epic TRILOGY Series: Book 1 – The Promise

This is on pre-order currently and set to release on May 19th.

I always wanted to see my name on the cover of a novel and it is awesome to see that dream coming true.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I cannot just sit down and start writing from the word “go”. I wait for information to be downloaded into me as I imagine how the characters would behave in a certain situation. So the story and characters and even the name of the novel of this debut novel – all literally dawned into me. I truly believe that inspiration is all around us. It is just a matter of being ready to grab it and manifest it in the real world.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read a lot of self development books. 99% of us will never reach out full potential as a human being and one of the ways of awakening the potential within us is my reading great books. Vishen Lakhiani’s The code of the extra-ordinary mind is one of the best books I have ever read.

What are you working on now?
Just finished my debut novel – Lovecarnation Trilogy – Book 1 The Promise. Very busy promoting it as the release is on May 19th.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Well still learning promotion tricks and it is something that one has to keep learning all through life. Things these days are so dynamic that you have to be adaptable. I think a good email list is a nice way to promote the books.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Read, read and read. Observe people and events around very closely. There is a story everywhere.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
During my growing up years, life was tough with little money. We rarely got new clothes. My father used to always say, “Even if your clothes are torn, it is fine but they should always be clean”. I follow that. Cleanliness matters a lot to me.

What are you reading now?
Reading a light book titled, ‘Fatherhood’. My next book will be ‘My experiments with truth’, by Mahatma Gandhi

What’s next for you as a writer?
Book 1 of the Lovecarnation Trilogy is done. Next obviously is getting back to the desk for Book 2. Book 3 will be the last book in the series.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I will take autobiographies of some great men who have lived and achieved what normal men cannot even think about.
Definitely Elon Musk features there for me.

Awesome Author - Erwin Wensley

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a self-published science fiction author and I’m finishing my fifth book, even though I have published only one of them so far. I’ve worked in construction, grocery stores and I also worked briefly with digital marketing, but what I really love is writing.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Total Life. It was inspired by an episode of Westworld, I think, and also by Black Mirror and Fight Club. You know, I’m not kind of writer who tries to hide his inspirations when they come from other works. I think that the best artists are not ashamed of stealing a one thing or two.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually write while peeing from my balcony.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King, George R.R Martin, Chuck Palahniuk and Charles Bukowski.

What are you working on now?
It’s a new sci-fi novel, but the subject is still a secret LOL

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Trying to engage with the writing community is one of the best methods, I think.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
You might not be recognized for your work, but don’t let this put you down. Many great authors weren’t recognized in life. So enjoy your art and drink some wine.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write even when you don’t feel inspired. Creativity is a tough fella and he won’t come to you unless you work hard for it.

What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading a book by John Scalzi and trying not kill myself with it

What’s next for you as a writer?
How could I know? Life always f*** with your expectations.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Fifty Shades of Grey, Twilight and a random hot book. It I’m going to have only books instead of gun, I’m better have these books to kill myself.
