Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Little Bean Seeds (LBS) is a Certified Public Accountant who lives in Hong Kong. She has known herself to be a bookworm ever since she was a primary school student. While most of the other children were running and jumping in the playground during break time, she would go to the library and stick her face in a book until the bell rang. She loves many different kinds of books—self-help, detective, romance, finance, health—and more.
In her eyes, books are one of the best channels for communicating messages. LBS perceives a writer’s role as like that of a farmer planting seeds. What she wants is for her readers to understand the book’s message and be helped in some way: have their mood changed, be pleased and entertained, or even encouraged to build a better self. The seeding job takes time, and it is better to start the seed earlier than later. That is why she chose to get her writing start with children’s stories, and also where the pen name “Little Bean Seeds” came from.
Writing is also about stepping out of one’s comfort zone. That is actually much easier to say than to do, especially when no one in your social network doing the same thing, saying, “It is just too difficult for me!” But most of the time, the difficulty comes from yourself more than those around you.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of the book is called “One Century Friendship”.
One day while straightening up my bookshelf, I came upon a little story that I wrote during my teenage years. It was the homework for a class for non-native English students, so you can imagine how “easy” it was for me to write.
As I flipped through the pages, grammatical mistakes were everywhere, word use was inaccurate, and the plot was a bit loose. However, reading from paragraph to paragraph, I could still remember the effort I put in to finish the book.
Yes, the teenage time is filled with trial and error. During that period, you may make many mistakes and have what adults call “unrealistic,” “impractical,” “totally unrelated to preparing to make a living” thoughts flashing across your mind every week. Oh! Those ideas may even hit you every second. And I was no exception!
I was not aiming to be a writer, because I did not think I was good at putting my imagination into words. However, flipping through the self-written storybook was like talking to the teenage “me.” So, I decided to rewrite the story and dedicate it to the teenage me and let her know that it’s who she was in the past that has formed the present me.
If you are a dad or mum now, share this book with your children and let them to have the courage to make friends and learn how to maintain friendship.
If you are in your teenage time now, I hope this book gives you a chance to think about your relationships with friends.
If you are an adult, I hope you enjoy reading the book and that it helps you to recapture some of your wild teenage experiences with your friends.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
In this storybook, it does not only having the adventure elements, but it also includes friendship notes and self-reflection questions at the end of each chapter. Those notes and questions are specifically included for young readers to think and reflect. If parents are reading the book with their children, the questions can help parents to initiate topics with their children.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I don’t have any particular authors or books that I like, but I like reading psychologically related articles and books.
What are you working on now?
There are few ideas in my mind but I still not yet finalized it.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I build my own website and I hope my website and my book can be a tool to initiate people to step out of their comfort zone.
Our future is built by lots of little decisions we made in the past and in the present. No matter how small the steps are, the effect may be just like the butterfly effect.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I am a freshman in this book writer path, hence I cannot provide any advice, but during the self-publication process, you need to persist. If you feel tired, then take a rest, and keep going.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Learning is a lifelong process.
What are you reading now?
I am reading a Chinese book which call “未來你是誰”.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am still figuring it out. As being a writer is not what I originally plan to be. I like writing and reading. The publication of “one-century friendship” is a gift for myself and because I hope I can transmit some positive thoughts to the young readers. The readers can get something from the book except for enjoying the story.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have written one 90,000 word novel called “Robbing Joy” in the creative non-fiction genre. I also write poetry and a blog, which can be viewed on my website www.quietwest.com. In the future I plan to write books on addiction and death and dying, hopefully with some comic relief given the subject matter.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Robbing Joy is my own story describing a lifelong attempt to overcome to the adversity of a traumatic childhood. Only 1% of white children ended up in foster care. In my case, it was from age thirteen to sixteen when I graduated high school. In my final semester before graduating, I was targeted by an Exclusive Brethren religious zealot of a teacher who began making false claims that he was adopting me.
I was not up for adoption, yet the teacher would not take no for an answer. He began stalking me both inside and outside the school, which escalated into chasing me down and forcing me into a car. He was obsessively seeking access to me, forcing a relationship through collusion with my older brother, who went on to become a major shareholder in Canada’s second largest construction company.
It took almost fifty years to write the book. The inspiration came through seeking a form of poetic justice by describing what it is like to be the lifetime victims of psychopathic scheming. They have yet to held accountable for the conflict of interest and abuse of power. The Exclusive Brethren are now known to be on of Canada’s larges organized crime groups. They are also known to be steeped in partisan politics and ruthlessly rip families apart. My story is testimony to the harmful outcomes of deceptive and destructive cults.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
If I am writing a fair bit, I also take breaks and play the guitar and sing. It seems the music and lyrics help with the flow as well as the emotional ups and downs you go through when writing about certain topics and memories.
When I wrote Robbing Joy, it was all consuming. I did not read anything, watch youtube, talk on the phone or anything. I wrote for several hours at a time, took short breaks and then wrote more. The actual writing of the novel took four to five weeks with full immersion.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jean Paul Sartre, Voltaire, Emily Dickinson and many other poets, Chesterton, Treasury of Satire…
What are you working on now?
I’m just starting to actively promote Robbing Joy. The decision to publish it was vey stressful.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My website is www.quietwest.com, which is an online store not yet launched. The book is available on my website as a digital download for $4.99. It is also available on Kindle.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing. It’s the only way to improve.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The present moment does not recede into the past as many believe – but rather, it is projected into the future, and waits patiently to meet us at a later date.
Also – thought is deeper than speech, and emotions are deeper than thought.
What are you reading now?
A book on creativity.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Probably a book about death and dying. I want to present it as less morose, and more as another of life’s adventures. I hope to create some thought provoking material and help alleviate fear. I can give an actual description of the soul, and the fact it resides within us and leaves our body when we die. From a personal near death experience with anaphylaxis, to what I observed in the many years I worked as a Registered Nurse, I am confident I can provide some insight into the topic. It is an unavoidable subject, yet we avoid it with all of our being. I think it’s better to facilitate discussions about death and bring it all out in the open. Ironically, the near death experience I had took away my fear of death. Probably because it is no longer a complete unknown.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Three or four empty books so I would have something to write on.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have written two novels. The first, “The Real Truth,” was a political satire/literary fiction work that is a new spin on the Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol,” featuring a talk show host who is visited by ghosts from history. It’s like the Dickens novel, except nobody learns any lessons and it doesn’t go where you’d expect. My second novel, “Murder, She Vaped: The Ironic T-Shirt Caper,” is a humorous mystery, and hopefully the start of a series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Murder, She Vaped: The Ironic T-Shirt Caper” actually came from a mistake. Two co-workers at an old job were talking behind my back, and I had headphones on. I thought they were talking about a TV show called “Murder, She Vaped,” but it turns out I was way off. But they told me I should write that, because it sounded funny. The rest is history.
I’ve always loved mysteries, ever since my mother introduced me to Poirot and Miss Marple when I was a kid. I decided to write “Murder, She Vaped” after reading “The Spy Who Came In From The Cold.” I loved how that novel manages to be about more than a spy tale, and how the twist at the end is related to the themes of the book, not just a clever hidden plot device. That drove me to work on something that inspired me artistically in addition to providing a fun whodunnit.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am very boring when it comes to my writing habits. I write for 30 minutes a day, more if I’m lucky. I have a busy schedule, so I just sit down and do my work. I spend a couple months outlining the book, then go about writing it. I always order several proofs and go over them with a highlighter to make sure everything is in place properly.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Among my biggest influences are Philip Marlowe, Tobias Wolff, John Swartzwelder, T.C. Boyle, Ernest Hemingway, and Kurt Vonnegut. I think the best book ever written is “The Great Gatsby” and the funniest book ever written is “Will Not Attend” by Adam Resnick.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on the second novel in the “Murder, She Vaped” series, which will involve a much more complicated mystery and plenty of twists. After that, I think I’ll take a break and try another genre.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Goodreads can be a bit of a social media wormhole, but it’s free, so you really should give it a try.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
No one cares how many books you sell. Just write the thing, put it out, and work on the next one. Enjoy the day to day process.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Here’s my advice on women: Don’t give them nicknames like jumbo or boxcar & always get receipts. Makes you look like a business guy” – Homer Simpson
What are you reading now?
“The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.” My mom says it’s good.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m gonna keep writing books, and maybe make some more movies. We’ll see.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
“The Time Machine Did It” by John Swartzwelder, “Will Not Attend” by Adam Resnick, “Brain Droppings” by George Carlin, and “Garfield Worldwide.” I figure I will need some laughs if I’m going to be stranded on an island.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is SammyJaye, and thus far I have written two books. Well, I guess you can say that my second book Introspections…into Life and Love is a reboot of my first book entitled simply Introspections…into Life.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book once again, is entitled Introspections…into Life and Love. It’s a book of 20 pieces of poetry that I conceived and put together that discuss, investigate and sometimes question what we know of to be life and love. It started out as a collection of poems that I wrote and posted on Facebook. It was an attempt to express my feelings, concerns and emotions. After some positive feedback, I decided to comprise some of them into my first book, Introspections…into Life. I was proud of that accomplishment, however my second book of poetry Introspections…into Life and Love is a personal victory and proves to be more meaningful and expressive.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Well, what I usually do is just simply write and create as the Spirit moves me. When there’s an issue, event or even a conflict that I have trouble speaking on verbally that’s when I put pen to paper.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Being more of a spoken word poet, I enjoy watching the performances of other spoken word artists over just reading poetry. But when I am in the mood to read poetry I love to read Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes and others. Mostly, I love reading inspirational stories and nonfiction books.
What are you working on now?
Since Introspections…into Life and Love is now finished and published, my intent is to create and produce music that can be somewhat of a companion to the book. In this way, I believe that the poetry will be more meaningful with the music behind it.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Well, so far I have employed three websites to assist me in promoting this book, with Awesomegang com being one of them. I plan on also doing some readings and book signings as well.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep focused on the end result and never give up. Never lose sight of the finished product. Make it your mission to inspire, educate and entertain others.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Believe in myself, my ability and talent. Write and create from my heart and my own personal experience and truth
What’s next for you as a writer?
With the release of Introspections…into Life and Love, my intention is to continue to write more poetry and build on the success of this volume.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was blessed with a loving and nurturing family, and we are still very close. I earned two college degrees and served in the U.S. Army Airborne Rangers. I had two successful careers and a marriage to the same wonderful woman for 44 years. We had two awesome children and I now have four grandchildren who are all in high school now.
I feel I have experienced every emotion life has to offer, including love, dedication and death. After my wife’s passing, I started writing to fill the void and to record everything I hold dear. I have written two complete novels that include all the love I have known.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first novel is entitled, He Never Forgot How to Love. It is available on Amazon.com and it contains the best and the worst of my life.
My second novel is entitled, Yeah, Ben? I contains my conviction to what love can be and what it can accomplish.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I often spend days trying to make two paragraphs work. Other times, the story flows faster than I can keep up. Those are the times I write into the wee hours of the morning. And, if I can bring a tear to my eye, I know I am on the right track.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Author: Ernest Hemingway
Book: Forest Gump
What are you working on now?
I am working on a third novel that follows the family saga of the first two books. My Mom loved them, and I want to give her one more.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am new to the game of publishing. I follow the lead of my publisher, Black Rose Writing.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write from the heart. And remember that one can write from the heart only if the heart has lived it. If writing ceases to be fun, if it becomes a labor without love, take up bowling.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t wish to be 21. Don’t hope to be 30 something. Don’t long for retirement. Live today for all it’s worth and be surprised by tomorrow.
What are you reading now?
My writing does not leave a lot of time for reading. These days, I try to keep up on current events and measure them against the vast history of truths.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I will continue to write for my Mom. She can’t wait for the next chapter. If I never have a book become a best-seller, I will always have a best fan.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
1. My Bible
2. Profiles of Courage by John F. Kennedy.
3. Of Mice and Men by Ernest Hemingway
4. My Journal of life as I knew it

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a retired psychotherapist, originally from Massachusetts, now living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. I now spend my time drumming for several bands, writing books, designing and making jewelry, and cooking.
I have written five books to date: “God Should Have Worked On Sunday”, “Freestyle Community Drum Circles” (the 2nd edition coming soon!), “My Life Cracks Me Up”, “MiXED NUTS or What I’ve Learned Practicing Psychotherapy”, and “American Baapu: India Through My Eyes”.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“American Baapu: India Through My Eyes”.
Briefly, my wife and I helped a young Indian woman who was stranded at the Dallas airport. We became friends online and she started referring to us as her “American parents”. When she announced her wedding later that year, she asked that we come to India and be part of her wedding party.
I wrote a piece online describing that experience which was read by more than 100,000 Indians! Many young Indians found and friended me on Facebook. At first, we talked about differences in culture and religion. Then, many of them began to share personal challenges and ask my advice. Before long, they were calling me “Baapu”, “Angel Paa”, “Touji”, “PapaRick”, “Baba”, and “Dad”.
When my wife and I announced that we were returning to India in 2017, my unofficially-adopted Indian sons and daughters insisted that we stay in their cities with their families. “American Baapu” describes that experience.
We are returning to India in 2019. This time, we will be staying in eight cities with eight different families. We will also be the “American parents” in an Indian wedding, once again.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When I’m writing or editing a book, I spend 10 to 12 hours per day at it. I take many months off between books.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Although I write only non-fiction, I most enjoy reading fantasy novels. My favorite writers are Jim Butcher, Lois McMaster Bujold, Seanan McGuire, Elizabeth Moon, Patrick Rothfuss, Robin Hobb, Charles de Lint, R.A. Salvatore, and many more. Also (non-Fantasy) Bryce Courtenay, Daniel Quinn, Howard Zinn, Milton Erickson and countless admired psychology authors.
What are you working on now?
I just finished revising and expanding “Freestyle Community Drum Circles”. Its first edition sells well, especially in Europe, but I always felt it could have been better: less preachy, less repetitive, more comprehensive. I’m hoping to have accomplished that in this second edition.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have my own webpage (under repairs now) at www.rickcormier.com
Each of my books has its own Facebook page with excerpts. I promote my books via my personal Facebook page as well as an email list.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just write and write.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote that a writer should write so that the largest multitude of people can understand his message. I was deeply influenced by that idea in my late teens. I write accordingly.
What are you reading now?
“Beast Master” by Shayne Silvers
What’s next for you as a writer?
I thought that “MiXED NUTS” would be my last book. Then, this whole India connection took place. The story was becoming much too long to tell verbally, so I wrote “American Baapu”. I have no idea what the next book might be!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Complete Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Book of Secrets by Osho (now that I’ll have the time to get through it!), The Australian Trilogy by Bryce Courtenay.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi I’m Chanisse Kara, I was a fan of literature since I was seven. I was born in Durban and without a literary agent! lol.
Like all people who take a liking to a certain craft I delved into the world of great fiction story telling. While growing up my father had a hobby that used to fascinate me. He was so good at card magic and the illusions they did at casinos. All this provided me with a lot of content for the Omen Swift series I wrote. There are eight books I have written. Four in the Omen Swift Series. I am now working on more books, including the Rusher Street series, and new books called Consanguinity and The Davidson Gang.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Pyramid Scheme is the next book I wrote, while on a creative high . If I knew more about that family than I know who inspired that book, it would have been alot longer than it should have been, hah ha. The book again is about cult religion and its contraversial effect it can have on people. The society before the illuminati and how far will desperate people that have no resources and the financial stability go to find the success and wealth every one wants in life. What inspired it was the love I have for history. I heard in places like India and Africa there are people who only wish they could go to school. Some of them resort to a poverty stricken life. It’s old news. Nothing much is done about it. Charity is offered but there is still war and famine happening. I thought about everything a disadvantaged person could want. I came to the conclusion that everyone in life , regardless of race or their background wants and needs the same things. The question that sparked the novel to run in its volume of pages.. was how far will a desperate human go to live the life they never had?
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, none at all, what is an unusual writing habit? I have not come across that. I know I once had a very vivid dream that showed me the entire plot of the new book I would write. Red Riding Wolf. A spin off to the Red Riding Hood story.
Of course there’s many spin offs to old fairy tales. Its fun for authors to do that now.
But mine is darker.. seriously.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
There are many writers that I have been a fan of, surprisingly anyone that comes up with an amazing idea and is able to take the world by storm by the figment of their imagination is what I consider an influence. So for me all the writers have done it.
The influences.. J.K Rowling, Roald Dhal, R.L Stine.. Lee Child. and even Micheal Jackson as a song writer. All of them have left no room for simplicity in their story telling.. In a very good way. That was what I aimed to do with the Omen Swift series. With the writers I mentioned it was all about amazing explosive ideas coming across the pages to form plots and scenes that would entertain readers, Stephen King… Is The KING OF Literature !
What are you working on now?
My next few books in the Omen Swift Series and a few more to come, I would love to write more novels and be like Stephen King and Michael Jackson. Love them both! I am working on The Davidson Gang and The 28 Rusher Street Series. I don’t drink and neither do I drive as I can’t do eiether of them except be a geniune nerd and write one novel after another depending on what great idea I get inspired by.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My best method is always Awsome gang, You Tube and Twitter. All of them for different reasons. You Tube, Because I am a new author and I need as many readers. The video trailer depicts the content I have created in the books. To give readers a sense of understanding of what the series is about. Twitter. The readers are there, you just click on the Harry Potter following and just like that you got over three million possible people that could read the same genre you are writing.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes , every writer is a reader, but not every reader is a writer. Writing is a task that anyone can learn. There are schools that teach you how to write well, but none of them will teach you how to write a best seller . That is left to the imagination of the writer. My advice to authors is try to come up with some thing as different and unique as possible. The market is already flooded. Publishers are looking for new inventive ideas that will sell. During the writing process focus on the scene inside your head before worrying about how the words will sound when put to paper. The mistake every writer makes is focusing about the way they write rather than what they have in their heads to form the story. Just remember its the imagination you need as a writer to tell the world a story.
Not the way you write. Every thing else comes after the images you create in your head.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I went to a flim festival once to pitch the possibility of my novel into a short film , One estate agent that wrote books. Yes even other people write novels. Ha HA. He said to me “So go to a book distributer, approach other people in the industry you don’t need a deal now they are just the middle man, put your books in stores” I am doing it now. I also strongly advise that if writers speak to publicity agents for exposure , they should listen to their advice and keep them as mentors even if they do not land a publishing deal. Because these people know the right people and sources to get you into contact with to help build your career as a writer. There is alot of admin work behind getting your work out when you are a SELF PUBLISHED AUTHOR. In which you have to do all on your own, It can get very lonely without an agent, I know it sounds weird but us writers need that publishing print deal.
What are you reading now?
A few fiction books by Lee Child and my own books over and over again because I have to edit them. But when I’m bored I do read .. mainly to improve my own writing. Alot of Stephen KIng as well.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I would love to write more novels. There is something rewarding about finishing a five hundred page book and going on to write four more within the series and knowing it came from your head.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I decided to start writing after many years of learning and experience that spans religion to science to every day living. I was a Christian, in upbringing as well as practice as an adult. Many years afterward, an entire world had opened up to me that I was unaware of. The world of other methods of spirituality, as well as the world of science. I have written one book thus far, and am working on a series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The title to my latest book, the second edition, is “The Life of Benjamin Samuel Brasford.” It is the beginning of a series entitled, “The Work Series.” Work to mean you doing the personal work of taking charge of your own life with other assisting as you choose to allow, instead of allowing others to be within the driver’s seat.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My writing habits are not necessarily unusual. My focus is a bit more academic though I work within narrative style at times as well. I found that subjects related to certain sciences are boring to many so, presenting them in story form seems to work a bit better.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been influenced by many an author. Some of the most influential authors were Horace Butler (When Rocks Cry Out), Carroll Quigey (Tragedy and Hope), Ludwig von Mises (Human Action), Richard Elliot Friedman (Who Wrote the Bible?), D. M. Murdock (Suns of God), Bart D. Ehrman (Forged), The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi, and Erik Iversen (The Myth of Egypt and its Hieroglyphs in European Tradition).
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the second volume of the series. It will be much larger than the first. It is an expansion of the sixth (6th) chapter of the first book. It will go into detail about what I had learned along the way, showing the progression of learning through the differing schools of thought. It will culminate to where i am now in my growth and learning.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Currently, I utilize my blog in conjunction with Twitter for my book promotion.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
New authors should obtain the books of authors that gives tips and solutions from what those authors learned. They should watch YouTube videos of many authors who create content to share their experiences. New authors should utilize social media as much as possible, as well as establish and maintain a blog. Finally, new authors must be patient and realize that building an audience takes time.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice that I have ever heard was to be patient and never stop working. Anything worth having is going to take time and effort.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading Human Action by Ludwig von Mises. He does a brilliant job of showing the relationship between economics and human nature.
What’s next for you as a writer?
What’s next for me as a writer is to get more into story writing while educating as well, with a less academic tone.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
When Rocks Cry Out, Tragedy and Hope, The Rational Male, and the Holy Bible.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an author that lives in Michigan. I have written ten books with my tenth, The Thing From Uranus coming out anytime now and my eleventh, Suspicious Minds And Murders coming out next spring. I mainly write horror and science fiction, but have also dabbled in crime and suspence.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Suspicious Minds and Murders. I was dressed as Elvis at a Halloween Party Fundraiser for pediatric cancer a couple of weeks after my brother had passed away in 2010. He was a big Elvis fan and celebrated his birthday every years with his friends. Anyway, during the fundraiser that I was throwing I kept hearing a voice tell me about a story idea about an Elvis impersonator helping a detective friend solve a murder in my hometown. From there I wrote Suspsicious Minds and murders. I came home and wrote the opening chapters after the event at 3 o’clock in the morning. I then shelved the idea for a few years to write some other novels and shorts stories I had been working on. I picked up Suspicious Minds and Murders last year and finished.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I watch tv, usually horror and science fiction movies and old episodes of the Twilight Zone (I am a big Rod Serling fan) when I write. I also write out all of my stuff on a legal pad and then type it in my laptop.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Rod Serling and his show, the Twilight Zone, Stephen King, Edgar Allen Poe, Richard Matheson, Robert Bloch, Algernon Blackwood, and to a lesser degree H.P. Lovecraft.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a novel titled The Werewolves of Dracl and some short stories for my Rod Serling tribute titled In Rod We Trust. The Werewolves of Dracl is about an SS unit garrisoning a town in Transylvania with bad results. It’s kind of one evil meeting an even greater evil.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Facebook, and other social media, I also do conventions, shows and other areas. I am planning on using You Tube soon as well.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
First off believe in yourself and in ignore critics and people who say you cannot do it. I was rejected by my high school journalism class and ended up doing a co-op program where I wrote for a local weekly newspaper where I wrote features, covered most girls sports and other events. It was a great training ground. Also when writing, first and foremost be entertaining. Tell a good story, but be entertaining. Grab the reader early, tell a good story and give them a memorable ending. If you have done all that you will get them coming back for more.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be entertaining. Above all else be entertaining.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading a collection of short stories by Rod Serling.
What’s next for you as a writer?
After the Werewolves of Dracl and In Rod We Trust, is either a Werewolf novel titled A Scream In the Night, or a couple of zombie apocalypse novels, Vestiges and Remnants, then a sequel to my science Fiction collection of short stories The Thing From Uranus, titled Another Thing From Uranus. I have a backlog of story ideas cataloged so, it’s anyone’s guess after the those.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Any short story collections of Rod Serling, Poe, Blackwood, and Matheson.

I am currently working on my first novel length work, The Dawn of Limcat, which is a grimdark sword and sorcery tale. My previous stuff has all been short fiction.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Dawn of Limcat is my work in progress. It has been inspired by other grimdark fantasy series such as A Song of Ice and Fire, The Prince of Nothing trilogy, The Malazan Book of The Fallen, but it is not epic fantasy like some of those – more sword and sorcey i.e. faster pace, shorter in length, and a smaller cast of characters.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. I feel a little boring. Perhaps I should establish some.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Certainly Anne RIce, Frank Herbert, George R.R. Martin, Steven Erikson, and

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

What are you reading now?
I am reading The Blood of Elves, which is the first novel in The Witcher series and I am listening to The Emperor’s Blades on audiobook, also the first novel in a series.

Hi, I’m Amaranthine Poetry and of course it’s my pen name. I was born in Nigeria, but am an Indian self published author/poet. I’ve written one book only. But I’m at the moment writing my second collection.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My book’s called “Notes From The Heart” and it’s a collection of Poetry and Prose. The collection includes a lot of the pieces I crafted in 2016-17. The book basically describes me at the time, so whatever was happening around me or whatever I was going through at the time is peppered into the book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes! I write on the toilet seat in my phone. Not always. I basically write anywhere. I just need my phone with me. But the toilet thing is a little wierd.

I live in Chicago Illinois. I am married with four children. I love reading, writing and listening to music. I am the Author of Marked for Death, bittersweet Revenge. I am currently working on my next book Quiet Storm, The Destruction of the Wolf Pack.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I have written Marked for Death, Bittersweet Revenge. I have seen and read about how different women were sexually assaulted and lost everything because of the sexual assault and sometimes sought revenge against their attacker. I decided to place a man in that same situation and allow him to experience similar situations of women who had been sexually assaulted and lost everything. I also wanted to let the reader know that anyone could be sexually assaulted by family, friends and strangers.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to go to a quiet room in my house, clear my mind of everything and let the words flow from my mind. I like to pretend I am the characters I write about and try to feel the emotions they might experience. I also like to read what I write aloud. If I think something does not sound right I will change it until I am content how it sounds.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read Zane, Terry McMillan, Donald Goines, Stephen King, Ernest Hemingway, Mark Twain and many more wonderful Authors.
What are you working on now?
I am working on my book called Quiet Storm, The Destruction of the Wolf Pack. This story takes place in High School. A Senior named Royal forms a gang that called themselves The Wolf Pack. Royal and The Wolf Pack terrorized Students, Teachers, and the Principal of the High School their entire senior year until it all came to an end on Graduation Night. On Graduation Night Royal and The Wolf Pack brutally attacked fellow Senior Nathan Hicks in front of his house and left him for dead. Nathan was seconds away from dying but willed himself to live until help arrived. He vowed to destroy Royal and The Wolf Packed and stated, “Royal and The Wolf Pack just unleashed a Quiet Storm.” Quiet Storm, The Destruction of the Wolf Pack.

I use Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, Google Bookstore, Goodreads.com, smashwords.com, Draft2Digital, Fiverr, and tell Friends and Family.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Always follow your dreams and don’t get discouraged. Always believe in yourself and know you can do it. There were times when I thought about giving up but didn’t. There was even a time when my book was approved to be published by a popular publisher, and later denied with no explanation, but I did not give up. I kept trying until I got my book published. If you want it bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to get your book published. Also, there is no limit to your imagination. You Got This! let your Star Shine and write for the World to see.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never Give Up! Go Hard or Go Home! Always believe in yourself and God will make a way for you when you think it is impossible for you to succeed! If you give up on yourself, everyone will give up on you! If a man has no Goals, Dreams, aspirations, or Expectations, he has no value to Himself or Society.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am from Asco, West Virginia born to a coal-mining family of 16 children. I learned a long time ago that in order to survive in life, I have to work for it since nobody will bring it to you on a silver platter. With no money for college, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After getting settled in the Marine Corps, I realized that I needed to enroll in school to get farther in life. So I enrolled at the University of Hawaii to study Club Management. Now at 84 years old and retired after 20 military service and a Vietnam Veteran, I finally properly published this book. You see back in 1998, I wrote a book and had it printed out but it was not properly published and distributed.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The title of the book is “A Ridgerunner’s Journey to the Last Frontier.” When we came home from Vietnam, we were not treated right. After 50 years, I was selected to be on an Honor Flight. So on April 17-21 2018, The Last Frontier Honor Flight flew me together with 22 other veterans to Washington DC to visit the memorials built to our honor. It was so overwhelming to see kids shaking our hands, saluting and thanking us for our service. In every hotel and airport we arrived in and landed, we were greeted with the most heartwarming welcome from everyone present. I thought that there is hope in America after all. It was 50 years long overdue but that moment made up for everything and I never thought that I would live long enough to see that beautiful homecoming which I thought to be a redemption of honor.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I wrote about my memoirs and may not find it unusual but writing events in bullet points helped a lot. It may be hard for some people to remember some names from childhood but I may say that I have a knack for remembering them. When people had an impact on your life, I tend to know their full names – all in my head.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read mostly self-development books. I believe that I would not be able to help others unless I help myself although most of it I learned from the “survival school” of growing up in the Bishop Family in the wild, West Virginia. Then later, most of my influence came from being a Marine and books about the Generals of War. But believe it or not, my all-time favorite book is “How to Influence People and Win Friends.”
What are you working on now?
I am working on getting the book into an eBook format and audiobook. If I still would have the time to research, I would like to write about the 5 brothers who served in Vietnam at the same time. There were only 3 of us left which will be harder for me to pull together the stories.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I find that Lulu , Amazon , Barnes and Noble would be good in promoting the book because of the customers they already have. I also use Facebook and my co-author is learning more about Twitter and Pinterest as a method of marketing. We also utilize our website store.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice is to keep on writing. The more you write, the more you will discover your style. And while writing, keep on reading as well. Take time to read at least an hour each day. You will make mistakes but that’s the only way to learn.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I was once told to keep a journal. If you write about 300 words every day, sooner or later you have a book by the end of the year.
What are you reading now?
An easy book to read, “Choose Yourself.”
What’s next for you as a writer?
I was told that after publishing the book, you have to learn marketing. This generation has created a different kind of marketing strategies – that is a lot to learn for me. So I will just keep on writing and delegate marketing to someone else.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
One is “The Complete Guide to Edible Wild Plants” by the Department of Army hoping that any of the plants are growing in the island. A 3-Ingredient Recipe Book to go along with the 1st book and I got to find a good one for that though. “Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy” to help me decide if I still wanted to go back to the civilized world. And of course my book, “A Ridgerunner’s Journey to the Last Frontier.” I can never find another survival book than the one I went through living in a coal-mining family.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write historical maritime fiction based on my lifelong love of sailing and the sea. I hold a USCG captain’s license and am active as a commercial and recreational sailor. I live in upstate New York, and imagine the world of trade aboard tall ships through my alter ego Captain Jane Thorn. Book One of the “Destiny” series was published in late 2018 with the next two books scheduled for publication through SisterShip Press in 2019.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Destiny’s Gold was published in late 2018. Here are my answers to some interview questions I was asked recently!
Why write about the merchant marine instead of pirates? Surely they are more fun!
Aaargh! A pirate lives by his sword, but a trading captain has to live by her wits. That’s much more fun, I think! Captain Jane has to figure out how to get what she wants without pulling a weapon on anyone, in general. Not that she won’t channel her inner pirate if needed!
What makes historical fiction set in the 19th century so special?
The first half of the 19th century was a time of upheaval and change all over the world. In many ways, the rapid developments in technology and the political turmoil would be familiar to today’s readers. For Americans, the country was still growing and defending its territory while trying not to get involved in European affairs. Within, issues of slavery, expansion, and the role of government were hot buttons that everyone had to work around. Captain Jane is akin to today’s millennials, figuring out what she thinks about things and acting on her principles.
How important is research to you when writing a book?
Research is everything! I want to bring the reader into Jane’s world and make it feel familiar. The problems people were solving in Jane’s day laid the foundation for the world we live in today. Have you ever thought about how long it would actually take to raise the anchor on a 200 ton ship? Longer than you might imagine!
How realistic are your books?
Captain Jane and the Destiny are as realistic as I can make them. All of the events and places I reference are real, as are many of the people she encounters. Every now and then, I take liberties with time frames, but I strive to give the reader a realistic sense of the world in 1820.
Do you set a plot or prefer going wherever an idea takes you?
Oh, my characters pretty much do what they want to do. They are constantly surprising me! I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true. In general, I know what the central storyline will be, but how things play out is always a mystery until it happens. I find myself saying, “Oh really?!” a lot when I am writing.
How much of yourself do you put into your books?
I confess, Captain Jane is my alter-ego. She pretty much does what I think I would do in most situations, although sometimes I have to shake my head at how obtuse she can be. That’s probably when she is being most like me.
Who would play Captain Jane in the movie?
If I could wave a magic wand, it would be a young Loreena McKennitt.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Like most writers, I suspect, I do a lot of it in my head when I am dealing with insomnia…
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Hands down, the most important influence has been Henry Dana Jr., Two Years Before the Mast. And of course, all of the marvelous sailing stories I read growing up.
What are you working on now?
Books Two and Three of the Captain Jane Thorn series are in the editing and writing phases, so they are next!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My publisher takes a broad-brushstrokes approach and has me doing many different things. They do stress that my personal author website is the most important platform.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Learn your craft by reading!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Show, don’t tell.
What are you reading now?
I’ve got several review copies of maritime-related books that I am working through.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Good question! Either more in the Captain Jane Thorn series, or perhaps a new series. I do like the series format since it gives you time and space to really develop your characters and have them do interesting things.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Sherlock Holmes, hands down!

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I wrote one autobiography, novel type, but have four different titles for the same book because I like all my titles. I also wrote six smaller books which are take offs or detailed stories that are in my main book. Before the age of nine cousins, uncles, brothers, and strangers were raping my sisters and me. A man beat and raped me at gun point. The next day he beat, raped and shot my two little girl friends. I left home and school in fourth grade. When I did try to go home, one of my uncles raped me.
There were so many rapes happening that I’m not sure if he’s the father of my first daughter. The family hates me because he raped me. My mom, dad and family stole the baby and raised her as theirs. The Iron Horseman motorcycle gang stole my next son I gave birth to. He had double pneumonia and a broken collar bone from me getting beat for three nights before the night of labor and living on the streets in the snow. A member of the gang was the father. The gang thought I hurt my baby.
My stomach exploded from being an alcoholic putting me in a coma for nine months. While in the coma my mother-in-law stole my next two children. They were seven and eleven when they were stolen. My fifth child arm robbed a bank in Lake County, Florida with a gang and her boyfriend, Jesse James. (Go figure.) Most of my life was spent on the highways, hitching in snow looking for my children.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I’m working on the last book I’ll ever write, but then most authors say, “This is the last one” with each last one. I haven’t decided, but the title so far is, “Here’s Your Fucking Card.” Through continuously writing, putting my story in cyber land, my first daughter found me, but we still haven’t met in person. I found my second daughter, but she has an attitude because she was told all her life that I was dead. She sold the house and property I owned when I ran from my abusive husband which was their father.
I found out online that my two sons have died of cocaine overdose and I’ve never met them. I read online that my little sister overdosed. Dad was a Pentecost Oneness Evangelist, a Charlatan. He shot his self in the head in the New Mexico court house.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t think my writing habits are different than any other authors these days considering the computer age and it’s constant advancing. I keep word pad minimized and write when something important needs to be entered. While living on the streets, highways and prisons, I kept a pencil or pen and paper. All my life I’ve been carrying something to write with and on. It started off wanting to tell about my two little girl friends who were shot.
Then I wanted to tell on all the family and strangers who beat and raped my sisters and me and tell on everyone who stole my children.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The movie, Deliverance made a lasting sickening impression. Hillbillies are like that and it is like that in mountains many years ago, but movies and books exaggerate and make fun of us. I’m in an inbred hillbilly if you haven’t guessed. I had a sick family who alienated me over and over and have now alienated me again for exposing the nasty dirt in our family. Most of which they didn’t know about till I wrote it. I was getting upset to read online in a lot of books, movies, websites, and articles that inbred hillbillies are blue and have horrid defects. I want to debunk the stereotyping. I’m not blue and have no defects. I do like to be bare foot and I wash my overalls to be clean, not to impress city folk. Hillbillies on my side of the holler do make moonshine, grow weed and don’t road kill lesson it’s soft. My dad, being a preacher held a double barrel and married me to an abusive man. The book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” again people who are not an inbred hillbilly writing about us. I’m very honored to have so many interested in inbred hillbillies.
What are you working on now?
Writing to you in your website, kidding. A book I mentioned before which I haven’t decided on the title, but at this point it’s, “Here’s Your Fucking Card.” My last daughter treated me like dirt, turned me into the H.R.S. all the time on fake charges, arm robbed a bank, took my house, and a few other crimes. One time only I got a Mother’s day card she threw at me and said; “Here’s your fucking card.” I still send her money when I have extra. I’ve been sending my first daughter a lot of money and it seems she only writes to me when I send money. My second daughter don’t talk to me at all. All of them have babies and their babies have babies I’ve never met. Thanksgiving and Christmas has come and gone and New Year’s, my B-day, I haven’t heard from any of my children. I haven’t afforded lately to send them money because I’m on disability and don’t get much. I thought I was going to make money on writing and send them money so they will talk to me, but this hasn’t happened.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Like most humans I thought Amazon was going to make me famous and rich. Most things I write end on my site if it doesn’t have anything to do with family. Family threatens to sue me all the time for writing truth. I use naked women in my site to get my point across about narcissist and abuse. There is a difference between a narcissist and a violent abusive person. I was using face-book and Twitter to connect with people, but perverts posting their penis has taken over the cyber world.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Fake stories, fantasy, thrillers, romance, and porn sells good. If you have imagination and talent, go for those genders. Myself, I’ve never seen anything, but reality so making up romance or children’s books that lie to them isn’t my thing. If you have imagination and haven’t destroyed by the reality called life, you will make money. Writing about real things that happened in someone’s life, autobiographies don’t make money.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t let nasty reviewers depress you, they do it for money or rewards, but take what you learn from their review and make your book better.
What are you reading now?
I don’t like to read, but love typing and writing. My last daughter has read most all the huge books with no pictures because I brain washed her while she was growing up by telling her she can escape in the big books. I didn’t know about paragraph structure, sentences, punctuation, and formatting because I left school and home in fourth. Then I met my room-mate I have now who taught all this to me.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My family knocked me down on first try. They put bad reviews on me and constantly threatened to sue me so I changed my game plan to using the nick name dad always called me, “Nellie Cake.” This will make my family mad because I’m grandma’s only name sake and the only sister left of my three remaining brothers and Nellie was grandma’s name. They can’t stop this because my middle name is “Nellie.”
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would bring thick ones so I can use the pages to start fires.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve written two books, both in the Chief Inspector Gray James Detective Mystery Series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
His Hand In the Storm (Book 1) is available for FREE on Amazon and the other major sites. It won the Colorado Gold Mystery Award and was a Daphne Finalist.
I wrote it while living in Montreal. I was immersed in the emerging tech culture there and set the book in a hot healthtech startup. The fusion of English and French cultures, the frigid yet chic streets — they all inspired me to create my protagonist: Gray James.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write at the dining room table because there are windows on both sides, and I don’t like to feel cooped up for all those hours
What authors, or books have influenced you?
elizabeth George (who I did a master class with — in Tuscany of all places. PD James, Colin Dexter, Agatha Christie…
What are you working on now?
I’m writing a mainstream stand alone suspense novel, set in Vancouver where I used to live. I miss that beach front apartment, and this is my way of going back there.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m new so I don’t know yet
Do you have any advice for new authors?
As a relatively new author, I’ll reserve from giving too much advice. It seems to me, though, that there are a lot of writing “rules” out there. You can learn them, but it’s best to also let them go. Some of the best mystery novels are loaded with passive verbs. Advice at conferences — if we all followed it — would result in us all writing the same book. I like The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. Beyond that — forget it. Anything goes.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Aim for a hundred rejections this year. Meet that goal. (I might have made up this advice for myself — but it has worked. One or two things out of a hundred work out. And the other 98 don’t sting as much. Since my goal is to achieve 100 rejections!
What are you reading now?
Elizabeth George’s latest novel. She was writing it during out ten-day master class in Italy.
What’s next for you as a writer?
After the stand-alone, which I will also self publish, I will write my third CI Gray James novel. He’s a fascinating character, and there’s so much more to explore in him.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Too tough. Can I bring Benedict Cumberbatch, Cary Grant, Tom Cruise, and my husband instead?

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m the author of The Commandments Book Series, which includes The Single Ladies’ Commandments and The Gentlemen’s Commandments. I’m also the author of a short story entitled “911” Emergency Crisis: The Day I Lost My Mind Literally.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Gentlemen’s Commandments is the second installment in my book series. The book is designed to encourage unmarried Gentlemen on their single journey through 30 devotions and 30 contemporary songs.
I was inspired to write this book for the men who desire a good woman, but recognize the temptations of this world sometimes asks for the best of them.
I wrote this book from a woman’s perspective. I was born a girl, raised a lady, and now I’m a woman reaching out to Gentlemen. As a single woman myself for many years, I’ve dated men, studied men, learned about men, and now I want to enlighten men on the women’s mind.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When I have the urge to write, I have to jot it down right away. Usually I draft my thoughts in my phone’s notepad or a nearby journal.
There are also days where I don’t do anything, but write. I just wake up and write until I have exhausted my mind of my thoughts.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Other inspirational and spiritual books have influenced me as an author. Most notably, The Holy Bible has inspired me as I make many references to the Bible in my own books.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m preparing to shift gears from writing books to conforming my first book into a screenplay.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I utilize Instagram on a weekly basis to promote my brand and books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t get discouraged. Make a plan and execute. Don’t criticize yourself for not writing enough this week, or not checking off a box on the “to-do” list. Rather keep a positive mind set.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I received the best advice from another successful self-published author.
She asked, “Who is going to market you or your brand better than you?”
I thought about it. Yes, the publicist may have stronger relationships in the industry than me. A coach may have more experience as an author than me, but who is really going to know the heart and soul of my book like me?
What are you reading now?
Becoming Michelle Obama… although not too sure it qualifies as reading because I’m actually listening to the audio book.
I’m reading, Praying for My Future Husband, for the second time.
What’s next for you as a writer?
After I write my screenplay, I plan to continue my book series. I also plan to help more aspiring authors self-publish their books.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Holy Bible, for sure, but not too sure this counts since there are actually 66 books.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Memoirs From My Outhouse are true violence, murders, crimes, drugs, incest, alcoholism, drug addiction, inmates, stolen children, homelessness, narcissistic abuse, countless beatings and rapes, and nasty words. I can’t tell you what I just watched on TV, but I detailed hundreds of beatings and rapes. I have half a lifetime of experience in these subjects, the other half sober. I’m an Appalachian inbred Hillbilly and ain’t nothing wrong with that.
People who write similar stories usually are not an inbred Hillbilly which makes my story unique. Names were changed to get family and people from the past to shut the hell up. Hillbillies do make moonshine, grow weed, carry double barrel shot guns, and stay bare-foot, but I’m not washing my over all’s to impress city folk. We don’t eat road kill lesson it’s soft. I’m not blue and have no defects except I’m humble with too much trusting Hillbilly empathy. I’m not a sympathy whore monger I have a legit message if you get it.
I was kidnapped, beat and raped at nine then the same man beat, rapes and shot my two nine year old card playing Hillbilly girl friends in front of me. I witness the brutal beating and murder of an elderly man. Four of my children were stolen like I’m a baby factory, the fifth became an armed bank robber with her boyfriend, Jesse James. My first husband was a wounded vet. His arm was shot off in Vietnam. He beat me with his hook a lot, but that was mild compared to the other shocking things his friends and him did to me.
My second husband was a wannabe Clint Eastwood carrying an arson, beating on me, shooting towards me, and hunting me like an animal. Many pregnancies I lived in the snow then many years hitching in snow hunting for my babies. Drug dealing and exotic strip dancing were a way to survive in the wake of being annihilated by spouses. I dated my home confinement officer and was honored with a Governor’s pardon and Clemency. My first daughter was stolen.
She found me through my books and I recently met her online, but have not met her in person yet. My second son was stolen by the Iron Horseman motorcycle gang at birth. I’ve never met him. My stomach exploded putting me in a coma for nine months which took over a year and a half to walk. Two of my children were stolen while I was in the coma. I read obituaries online that my two sons has died of cocaine overdose. How weird that they both died like that and I used to be a big time cocaine dealer.
Lucifer threw a 16,000 pound building on me causing gangrene and many surgeries and procedures which took over a year and a half to walk. I had the worse case of M.R.S.A. in history which took over a year and a half to walk. I maintained employments and continued writing through destitution, pregnancies, savagery, prisons, and Northern winters. This is only a few things Lucifer did to me.
Life’s accomplishments: I won six turkeys, nine trophies battling cocks, birthed five kids, won ten cakes, and caught nine ten pound Bass. I possess gloating rights to angling stories and jaded memories. I want a place for authors of any genre and victims of any crime to have a voice without family or people judging, preaching, bossing, threatening, interfering or alienating me. I understand they are Holier than me, but they make authors of my genre feel we’re a bad image or influence on their precious perfect family and life.
Every story I write is true. God is real, but He can not physically stop wars, rapist, abusers, murders nor narcissist. I can’t compete with Syria, Mexico or third world countries tragedies, but my story is horrifying, shocking and the saddest story in today’s world.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Dear Whack Job Narcissist was written because I’ve lived with, loved and tolerated hundreds of narcissist, murders and rapist. Most were long term relationships that ended in deep trauma for me. I parted from each one in the most hilarious fitting ways.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My hurt from the many years of damage pushes me to continue writing knowing that violence in the world will never stop. I want to shame abusers, rapist, narcissist even murderers. My most unusual writing habit is that since the age of nine after that man shot my two friends when I was nine, I started carrying a pencil or pen and something to write on. Even through homelessness, hitching in snow for many years looking for my kids, in prisons and jails, through the brutal beatings and rapes I carried writing material.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The movie “Deliverance” freaked me out when it came out. Though it’s a bit exaggerated and that boy wasn’t really playing that banjo, most of it’s true. The book “Hillbilly Elegy” is ridiculous. Is he a real inbred Hillbilly? I’ve read all over the internet of how inbred hillbillies are blue, have defects and are deformed. I want to debunk the stereotyping of hillbillies, homelessness, exotic strip dancers, cock fighters, inmates, and victims of rape and abuse.
What are you working on now?
“Here’s Your Fucking Card!” Not sure about that title just yet. I’m writing about how though I have found two of my daughters and one daughter found me, none of them communicate with me unless I send money and one won’t talk to me at all because she don’t want to give back the money or house and property she stole from me. I’ve only received one card from two of my daughters at the age of 63. It also details my life more.
My last daughter who also stole a house and property from me is running around in the snow homeless in Iowa. I haven’t seen her nor her babies. Her babies were taken from her. I’ve never met any of my grand-babies or great grand-babies.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Twitter, Face-book, most all social media sites, and my personal site. I need to get the word out that all my books in the “From Under Blanket” series will always be free through my site.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be prepared to have a huge bank account to pay publishers and editors or work your butt off finding sites like these. Use bad reviews to improve your work instead letting it frustrate you. If your a poor author you will have to do the leg or cyber work for a lot of years, so to speak.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Before I knew about punctuation, sentences, formatting, fonts, and even correct spelling I received a one star. JeffKnowsstuff was the reviewer. I was so upset that I improved my book/s 100 percent and wrote a couple hilarious books about nasty reviewers with a pig fish on the cover saying, “Behold A Reviewer” “He Was Caught Giving One Stars.”
What are you reading now?
I can’t read anything at this point. I’m concentrating on promoting the book/s I’ve already written. I’m sixty three, an old starving author, I need to get my book/s out there. Not many people even know I exist because of the huge book market. I’m assuming whoever finally reads my book/s will be shocked.
What’s next for you as a writer?
When I’ve expired all my options for promoting the book/s I’ve already written, I’ll get my last book done. Even if it’s not a good book, I’ll pat myself on the back and give me and A plus for effort.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
If I were stranded on and Island and were only allowed to bring books, I would bring thick ones so I can use the pages to start fires.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I grew up all along the west coast, but spent a lot of time near Seattle, which reflects in some of my books.
So far I have 16 works available on Amazon, and I’m in the process of editing and beta reading two more at the moment.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Devil’s Cupid was kind of a passion project for me. I wanted something that could be read quick and in segments, because episodic romances just aren’t done enough! But this series had to pack a punch, and that was a challenge I couldn’t shy away from.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write at night. Like…late at night. It might sound weird so some, but my clearest moments come during the wee hours of the morning. Most of Devil’s cupid was written after midnight.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
When I was a kid Gary Paulson really dragged me into the art of writing, and then Anita Stansfield changed the way I looked at literature in a whole.
And then there’s Marcia Lynn McClure who I owe for bringing me into the world of romance!
Now-a-days I look at authors like Mariana Zapata and Katherine Le Veque for my daily entertainment!
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on a couple projects. Both are contemporary romances. One, Heart Ink, is more of a sweeter, feel good romance, while Boyfriend By The Hour is for those who like things a little steamier.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Honestly, a really good strategy in Amazon Sales Promotions really goes a long way without tearing out your pockets. It’s always the first thing I recommend to new and indie authors.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The best advice I have for a new author is this.
Write because you love it. Write for you and only you, and never compromise.
This is a tough field to succeed in, so if you decide to tread the tumultuous waters, then love what you do, and keep doing it for the love of writing.
Get a thick skin and get stubborn until you meet your own version of success!
Also, get a thesaurus and some beta readers.
Those are important too!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I ever heard was,
Write because you love it.
If you wouldn’t write if you didn’t find success, then this is the wrong industry for you.
Write for the passion of creating.
What are you reading now?
Oh my… so many things. Right now my KU list is full! I always have something from Mariana Zapata in my library, and I have a few books from indie authors I’ve never heard of but their stories sound amazing.
(Don’t worry, I won’t forget to leave a review!)
What’s next for you as a writer?
Same as what’s next for every writer.
I’m going to keep writing!
I have a few projects that are still a work in progress at the moment, and I’m going to keep working until either my eyes fall out from computer monitor glare or my fingers freeze up with arthritis.
Hopefully that’s a long way away.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
-The Island by Gary Paulson
-The Jayson Wolfe Series by Anita Stanfield. I’m assuming you can get all the books rolled into one somewhere?
-The Highwayman Of Tanglewood by Marcia Lynn McClure
-Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
As a child, I would surround myself with books, easily reading one a day if given the time and space. I would make a little nest in my bedroom, cushions and blankets on the floor (my back pressed up against a warm radiator – an essential part of the process – and just read and read. Even though my book nest days are (sadly) long behind me, I still get that feeling of escaping to a warm cocoon when I read. And, I always, even as a very small person indeed, dreamed of writing for a living.
Now, I work as copywriter which goes some way to scratching that writing itch, but never completely fulfilled my need to write a book, a piece of fiction that you could fall into and lose yourself in for a little while. Earlier this year, I wrote my first short novel, White House: A Lara Wright Mystery, hopefully, something that would make 7 year old me incredibly proud.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My book is called, White House: A Lara Wright Mystery, and I like to think of it as a classic whodunnit with a millennial twist. Christie with a hot tub. It was inspired by a passion for mystery writing, both in books and on screen. Those neat little murders that lack the mess and the loose ends of real-life crime, but that, with careful enough analysis of the clues, can be neatly tied up by the last page. I’m fascinated by the genre, by its tropes, and by the blending of the cosy and the macabre. I was able to explore this passion in Lara’s first story.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’m not sure I have any habits that are particularly noteworthy. I don’t write only in my underwear or only on a Tuesday or anything like that. I do require a constant stream of hot green tea – I call it my writing fuel. Hemingway had his hard liquor, I have my teapot. It may not be quite as romantic but it saves my liver a good deal of bother.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Agatha Christie has to top the list. Particularly Poirot, who easily ranks as my favourite fictional detective. But in general, I love her clarity of voice. I never feel like there is a wasted word in Christie’s novels and stories, she has a crispness and an efficiency which I aspire to.
After that, there are a huge amount of authors I admire greatly, and perhaps too many to list here. From Jane Austin to Emily Bronte and Kate Mosse to Nora Roberts, I love anyone who has the capacity to pull me into a world and allow me to lose myself. Those writers that compel you to keep reading when you are in the shower or walking down the street. The books that take you hostage and refuse to let go until you have read every word.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently writing Lara’s next adventure, which is set around the world of archiving and historical books. Don’t worry, it’s much sexier than it sounds! And it allows me to write something of a love letter to my home city, Manchester which makes me very happy.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The answer is I honestly don’t know. And after diving down the rabbit hole of many, many blogs, forums, and discussion groups, I’m still not sure I know. Although the writer in me still likes to believe that a well-written book will sell and that there is no one magical promotional formula for success.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I am not sure I am in a position to dole out sage advice. I’m still on my first book! But something that helps me when I am struggling to move forward is just to write. Just to sit down and write the next part of your story. It doesn’t matter if it is good, bad, or indifferent, the action of writing normally leads to at least a handful of good ideas.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Just bloody do it.” From my wonderful and always supportive husband who believes in me when I am wallowing in self-doubt about my ability to write so much as my own name. Writing is hard. It’s painful and soul-crushing and tricky. But if you want to do it, you have to get on and do it. Otherwise, why are you bothering? Why put yourself through it? Start with a single word and build from there.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I am reading a fantasy book from a very talented author, Naomi Novik. It’s called, Uprooted, and even though it’s a little outside of my usual genres, I love her characterisation and storytelling. It’s a compelling read that I would highly recommend.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To finish up my second book in the series and then who knows? I have so many ideas, it’s trying to weed out the half good ones that is the tricky bit!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Oh god. The thought of only four books forever makes my heart hurt – can I have a pen and paper to knock out a few while I’m there? In a pinch, it would have to be:
The Moonstone – Wilkie Collins
Wuthering Heights – Emily Bronte
The ABC Murders – Agatha Christie
Rebecca – Daphne du Maurier

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
A 19 years old entrepreneur who started his career nearly 6 years back. School was of no interest to me but I was forced to complete college as my parents thought that I was smart and my grades were good without even revising a single page. When I started out, I faced a lot of failures and struggles as I did not know much about what I was doing. I just had a dream to become a famous millionaire, that’s it. My journey had a lot of ups and downs but I never even thought about giving up for a second as I never planned on working a 9-5 job. I’ll do what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Now, I am proud to say that I have built quite some successful online businesses ranging from websites to e-commerce stores to business consultant and advisor. It is only like 2 months back that I got that idea of launching an ebook. The amount of honest information given in it is unbeatable. There has never been such an ebook like that before.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first ever ebook titled Attract Money, The Right Way has recently been launched on Amazon as both a Kindle Ebook and a Paperback Version. The main reason for me launching this ebook is to help people. During my entrepreneurship journey, I discovered that a lot of people want to launch their own business, they want to be financially free and stable, but they do not have the RIGHT knowledge. They don’t know how to achieve their dreams. Just because they got the Wrong Knowledge. A lot of ‘gurus’ online are becoming rich by selling basically what I called ‘craps’ to innocent people who are just trying to find a way to succeed. Most of the ‘gurus’ will never make you rich or give you the right knowledge, they are only making you a loyal customer of theirs that gonna buy every crap that they release. That’s it.
I could not see any more people getting in huge debts and depression due to these types of things, hence why, I decided to come up with Attract Money, The Right Way. I am good with my businesses bringing in money everyday. I never had the attention to come out and teach people what I learnt in my 6 years of being an entrepreneur. But I guess, it was not the right thing to do.
I just want people who are in search of knowledge to get the Right and Exact Knowledge. I don’t want to come and fill your mind with a lot of useless information that not gonna be useful to you in any way. I want all of you to know the Real Way to Building Your Own Passive Income Stream. I am emphasizing on Your Own just because what works for you might not work for someone else. I will give you the right knowledge to build Your system. I will help you along the way, I will motivate you but I will never take your profit. That’s how I am. I am well off with my businesses, I don’t want your money. I just want to help you as a brother. We are all family and we help each other rise.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
The only unusual writing habit that I have would be that while writing, I always come up with a whole completely different idea from what I’m writing. So I think about this new idea while completely forgetting about what I’m writing. This is why when I start writing by 3 pm, I end up at 2 am (with lots of breaks and distraction in between). The journey somehow matters more than the destination, so you should enjoy the process.
What authors, or books have influenced you?

This ebook will teach you everything from thinking about investing in real estate to receiving your first paycheck from your investment. I have already taught you how to build a passive income stream, now it’s time to teach you how to invest the right way. Join me in this journey and I’ll make you super wealthy without interest.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The best method to promoting my books would be to Promote, Promote and Promote. From ads to influencers to giveaways and much more, promote as much as you can. Take a look at the successful businesses like Apple, their products are not the very best but their promotion strategies are the best. This is how you succeed!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
