Hi Awesome Authors
It has just come to my attention that our first site Awesomegang turned 10 years old this week. To think it all started because a book promotion site rejected my first book. Who did they think they were anyway? My book was not good enough for them! I will build my own book promotion site and with my knowledge of building sites that rank high in the search engines and then let all authors submit their books.
About 6 months in the site took off. What it became was a labor of love. We got emails from all over the world saying thanks for helping sell our books.
One day I got an email from an author and she asked if she could keep her book on the front page for a few days. She offered to pay $10. After thinking it over we did that and made what was a free site into a service website that authors could afford.
It has stayed $10 for our featured service and probably always will because I like helping the smaller authors that don't have a big budget to spend.
Of course Awesomegang still takes free submissions and also does author interviews that we spread around for free. Our other sites do this as well.
More about how the other sites came to be will be in the next email. Today I want to celebrate my labor of love!
